Why doesn’t the Display NOW TV App auto-start on an Amazon Fire TV Stick when the TV powers on?
Unfortunately, Amazon has disabled auto-start functionality for all apps on their latest-generation Fire TV Sticks. As a result, the Display NOW App is unable to auto-launch when the TV is powered on.
If auto-launch is important for your setup, we recommend using an Android TV or Google TV Streamer, as these platforms support auto-start functionality for third-party apps.

Additionally, we’re excited to share that the Display NOW Edge Player, a dedicated digital signage player, is scheduled for release in Q1 2026. This device will support auto-launch even if the app is closed and will automatically start the Display NOW App when your TV is powered on.
