# Is this a cloud-based solution?

Absolutely! Our digital signage platform was born in and [built for the Cloud](https://displaynow.io/cloud-digital-signage/) and does not require any expensive or proprietary appliances. The beauty of the Cloud means our solution scales to as many screens as you need.

You can access your screens from anywhere there's an internet connection. It even works on your phone.

Chris, our founder built this because he did not want to deal with expensive hardware or crazy subscription fees... so he made it affordable and accessible!

The only things you need are a screen, [player](https://displaynow.io/player) (streaming stick or a smart TV), and an internet connection. It takes just a few minutes to create a working sign.
