A quick guide on how to implement auto-launch and auto-start on your Google TV for the Display NOW app. Special app access is required to allow the app to come back when it's closed.
We will cover the auto-start feature first i.e. the Display NOW app will be automatically started back up again if it is exited for any reason.
Go to Settings > Apps > Special app access > Display over other apps, make sure the Display NOW app is allowed.
1) Go to "Settings"
2) Select "Apps"
3) Select "Special app access"
4) Select "Display over other apps"
5) Ensure that the "Display NOW TV player" is ON.
Next we'll cover auto-launch i.e. whenever your TV is turned on the Display NOW app will automatically launch in approximately 30 seconds.
1) Go to "Safety guard"
2) Select "Permission shield"
3) Select "Auto launch permission"
4) First toggle "Auto manager" to closed. Then toggle "Display NOW TV Player" to opened. Please make sure to do these steps in order to make sure everything is working properly.
Lastly, make sure both options shown below are turned on in your Display NOW app's menu.
